The Security Solutons(S2) program area of Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) has an opportunity for a contract professional to join its team at the Dulles, VA location as a Contracts Specialist supporting multiple U.S. Government and prime customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of various types of contracts/task orders, reviewing terms and conditions, processing change order requests and performing Contract Risk Analysis covering any significant or unusual financial, technical or schedule risks. Contract Specialist will serve as the single point of contact with the customer and with Raytheon functional leads for all contractual matters.

Responsibilities also include reviewing RFPs, preparing proposals, structuring contracts, and interfacing with customers to resolve problems and secure approvals. Provide assistance to Program Managers in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives. Responsible for high volume preparation and administration of proposals, business agreements, and contracts of moderate scope and complexity. Generate and maintain contract documentation and obtain management approval as required. Refer to policies and practices for guidance. Assist with negotiation and administration of awarded contracts and work with program teams to ensure successful contract execution.

Required Skills:
•2 years of experience in contracts, procurement, finance and/or program management or related field.
•Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
•Demonstrated ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust with both internal and external customers.
•Strong analytical skills to include strategic thinking, customer focus, performance and results orientation.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to research compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management.
•Strong desire to learn, take on challenges and achieve stretch goals.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and with minimal oversight.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office® suite (primarily Word and Excel)

Desired Skills:
•Strong knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, including FAR/DFARS.
•Experience with commercial and/or defense contract management.
•Experience executing contract closeouts.
•Project management experience or skills.

Required Education (including Major):
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, English or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor Degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience).
