Position Title: Sr. IT Security Analyst

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:

  • Overview
  • Evaluates, tests, monitors, and maintains information security policies, procedures and systems such as hardware, firmware, and software
  • Ensures security design, controls and procedures are aligned with information security standards and are appropriate to mitigate risk of exposure
  • Identifies security violations, determines cause, and implements procedures to prevent future incidents
  • Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices
  • Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes
  • May provide guidance to less experienced team members
  • Details
  • Monitor, research, analyze and remediate global IT security incidents at the perimeter and at endpoints
  • Provide directions to regional security admin contacts for remediation actions when required
  • Manage, administer, troubleshoot and create security policies for global firewalls and global Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to prevent exposure to emerging threats while minimizing business impact
  • Manage, administer, troubleshoot and create AV policies for global McAfee endpoint protection clients as well as managing and supporting McAfee ePO and Super Agent Repository infrastructure
  • Manage and administer additional endpoint security EDR technology
  • Research, analyze and monitor vulnerabilities, zero day exploits and Proof of Concepts exploits in the wild and evaluate the risk of exposure of the company's global networks
  • Advise management of the potential impact and risk exposure to these threats so appropriate mitigations activities can be decided and executed
  • Test, detect and report bugs in our security vendor's products so the protection and investment made in these products is viable
  • Analyze malware and determine if the company AV solution is able to detect and provide protection and test newly released intelligence by the AV vendor for proper remediation



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Minimum five (5) years of IT Security Network experience
  • Must have one or more of the following: Network Security Certified Professional (NSCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Penetration Tester (CPT & CEPT), Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE), Palo Alto, CheckPoint or Cisco Certified Firewall Security Administrators
  • Technical/Functional Expertise
  • Demonstrating broad, in-depth, and up-to-date advance working knowledge in the areas of architecting installing, configuring, administering, managing and troubleshooting perimeter security firewalls (Palo Alto, CheckPoint & Cisco), Intrusion Prevention Systems, McAfee EndPoint AV and ePO management consoles
  • Good working knowledge in the area of Microsoft Windows services (DHCP, DNS, WINS, AD), LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, network management protocols and tools
