This position supports the NAVAIR ASEMICAP Branch at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD in the performance of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Systems Engineering and Spectrum Management for all naval aircraft, support equipment, and weapons systems.


Developing, modifying, and maintaining assigned programs; designing and implementing modifications to the interrelation of files and records within programs in consultations with Team Leads.

Monitor the operation of assigned programs/websites and responds to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.

Implement and/or maintain assigned portions of a scientific programming project, applying established scientific programming techniques to well-defined mathematical, statistical, engineering, or other scientific problems, usually requiring the translation of mathematical notation into processing logic and code.

Perform tests, document work, write and maintain operator instructions for assigned programs, and confers with other personnel to obtain or provide factual data.

Work independently under specified objectives, apply judgment in devising program logic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures, resolve problems and deviations according to established practices, and obtain advice where precedents are unclear or not available.



BS degree in Computer Science is required; MS degree in Computer Science is preferred

At least five (5) years of experience, to include: Software Design, and Development.

One (1) year programming experience with "Specific Project" programming languages.

Note: Experience may be concurrent.
