General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Navy Spy Radar Trainer/ Technician to train fleet sailors in Dahlgren VA. BMD is preferred but not required.

  1. Develops, organizes and conducts classroom and lab training for Fleet SPY technicians on Baselines 3,5,6,7,9A,9A2A,9C and BMD supporting maintenance and operation of the SPY Radar System.
  2. Develops, tests, maintains and delivers training programs and related materials in support of Center for Surface Combat Systems/ATRC training objectives.
  3. Teaches approved course content and objectives.
  4. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  5. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress and program effectiveness.
  6. Supports updates of course curriculum on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience with the required system as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment. Of the five years, one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
