Description:This position requires development of Curriculum materials for International Program instruction of Sailors and Naval Officers on Aegis Programs in support of the Combat System Operations and BMD Tactical Employment Duties and Responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to instructor-led training, development of course content, student learning objectives; preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, and student manuals. In this position you will evaluate training materials and procedures and make or recommend revisions to keep courses current with software and equipment design. Additionally you will be called upon to counsel and evaluate student performance.
The ability to create and update lesson plans, trainee guides, and presentation materials in accordance with written standards.
At least 2 years of Aegis experience as a CIC watchstander with technical and employment knowledge of weapon systems onboard Aegis Cruisers and/or Destroyers.
Experience using Navy publications (system and equipment technical manuals, maintenance materials, operating manuals, and/or tactical publications).
Experience in a customer-focused role.
Self-motivated, reliable, self-starter able to work independently and as a team member and be willing to learn new equipment and systems to develop comprehensive training programs.
Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel programs.
An active US Government Secret clearance is a required to be considered.
Familiar with Naval Education and Training (NAVEDTRA) standards and instructional system design.
At least 3 years of experience as an instructor or curriculum developer.
Ability to instruct in both classroom and laboratory environments.
Qualified in Tactical Data Link, GCCS-M, or IFF Operations.
Experience as an Aegis Training Supervisor.
Experience with Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC).
Qualified in BMD operations on an Aegis Cruiser or Destroyer.
Instruction for Foreign and/or U.S. Navy Military personnel on the Aegis Weapons System.
