Job Description:
This role will collaborate with multiple factory functions with a primary focus on continuous improvement, cost reduction, variation reduction, waste elimination, process/factory optimization and attention to manufacturability constraints.
Duties include:

  • Design, control and improve the manufacturing process flow and system design through collaborative efforts
  • Manufacturing process control and performance monitoring including the use of SPC
  • Capacity planning and constraint management
  • Cycle Time and Lead Time reduction
  • Lead site Affordability planning as well as monitoring the execution of Affordability projects
  • Aid in the development of Factory Operations Roadmaps
  • Lead capital planning and execution activities
  • Ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved through the many diverse projects that are identified during process analysis

Required Skills:
  • 2 Years of relevant professional experience and training involved in all phases of the factory life cycle, including Capacity Planning, Capital Purchases, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout Optimization, Cell/Line balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Pareto Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management
  • Technical problem solving
  • Project Management
  • Able to lead small teams to achieve strategic initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
Desired Skills:
  • Lean Manufacturing in a Low Volume/High Mix environment
  • Manufacturing experience in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Required Education (including Major):
  • BS in Industrial & Management Systems Engineering, or other related field
