Patriot Launcher Evaluator (14T) personnel are responsible for assisting Fire Unit personnel with the maintaining the full operational readiness of the Patriot Fire Units. In addition, the Patriot Launcher Evaluator demonstrates the operation of the Patriot Launchers to the FMS personnel. The Patriot Launcher Evaluator personnel will advise and assist with training of Fire Unit (FU) personnel in required operational skills, and assist with the planning and implementation of training exercises designed to maintain and enhance the skills of the Patriot launcher operator and maintenance personnel. Provide expertise on system software application (e.g., initialization, operation, and training). Supports tasks that insure the integrated Patriot System is operational to include all aspects of the Air Battle at the FU levels, to include generation of schedules, and tactical readiness and deployment planning. Supports tasks and training of FMS Air Defense Forces in its system refresher operator training to battery personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills.
The Patriot Launcher Evaluator will provide technical field operational assistance to the FMS Air Defense Patriot Fire Unit personnel. The Patriot Launcher Evaluator personnel will advise and assist with training of Patriot FU personnel in required operational skills. Assist with FU operational software initialization. Provide expertise on system software (e.g., initialization, operation, and training). Supports tasks that insure the integrated Patriot System is fully operational to include all aspects of the Air Battle at the BN and FU levels. Assist with New Equipment Training (NET) and sustainment training with classroom and practical exercises to include software Post Deployment Builds (PDB’s) and hardware (sweeps) update training. Supports FMS with their system refresher operator training to battery and battalion personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills. This position is located in Doha, Qatar.

Must have direct related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Fire Unit, Battalion, or higher level. Experience with providing Technical Advice and Assistance to Patriot Battery personnel with operational and tactical procedures for with the Patriot System. Experience with the operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot Engagement Control Station (ECS) and Patriot Launcher Stations (LS). Conducts operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot ECS and LS. Prior participation in conduct of On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programs. Demonstrated experience instructing Patriot organizational classes in the classroom and on the tactical equipment or Patriot training equipment in the following areas: March Order and Emplacement, Centralized and Decentralized Guided Missile Reload and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables. Demonstrated knowledge on Brigade/AADCOM level TSOP’s, and shall be capable of assisting in the training of organizational level system upgrades. Must have successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 14T/16T/ conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the Patriot Missile System Contractor. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in an extreme desert heat environment. A Secret Security Clearance is required.
Demonstrated one (1) year of Collective Training experience or assignment to a deployed PATRIOT Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS. Graduate of the U.S. Army Top Gunner/Master Gunner Course. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Science with 6 years related experience. May substitute experience for education. (i.e., Associates degree/Technical School with 6 years of related experience, or High School graduate with 12 years of related experience
