Raytheon Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) Airborne Radar Electronics Department in El Segundo, California is looking for a Sr. RF Electrical Engineer to support B-2 Radar Sustainment Programs.
The candidate will work closely with a team of B-2 Antenna and Receiver/Exciter subassembly engineers on primary hardware testing and troubleshooting, failure analysis, and provide engineering recommendation for the repair. The candidate must have RF knowledge and hands-on module and unit testing and troubleshooting experience to facilitate the hardware repairs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support B-2 Antenna and Receiver/Exciter subassembly hardware repair, test and troubleshoot.
Provide technical support in B-2 hardware Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) due to obsolescence and outstanding repair issues, include test procedures, test plans, testing and evaluation, data reviews and reports, engineering changes, and hardware dispositions.
Assist cross functional teams, include Parts Management, Operations, Supply Chain Management, in identifying obsolete components and analyzing and testing replacement components.
Ensures the compliance to program and Mission Assurance requirements when handling primary hardware.
Provide weekly report tracking of all the assets in repair to IPTL or upper management.
4+ years of relevant experience in familiarity with RF and Antenna hardware, design or test, modules, subsystems, or overall system architecture.
Experience of primary hardware repair and engineering disposition processes.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
Willing to take actions and responsibilities, self-disciplined to follow through and complete assigned tasks.
Experience in testing, troubleshooting and performing failure analysis on Airborne Radar Products.
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or equivalent discipline in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret Clearance within first year of employment are required.
General knowledge of integration processes for Radar and Electronic Warfare.
Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data.
Flexible for travel to Raytheon manufacturing sites.
Experience of iMRO tool.
Development, Production & Depot Operations Lab Experience.
Required Education (including Major):
BS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or equivalent discipline in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
