AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Deputy Project Manager for employment in the Clifton, NJ office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with the Northeast area senior management team, assisting the Project Managers in this region

  • Perform financial, economic and qualitative data collection and analyses of a variety of projects and programs across multiple business lines, including, but not limited to, Transportation, Water, PMCM, Buildings + Places, Environment, and Energy

  • Create and manage spreadsheets and databases

  • Create reports and presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint, and perform various analytic tasks to support strategy, business / financial planning, and operations

  • Responsible for collecting data and preparing various forecasts on key Project and Program financial metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis across the entire Northeast Area project and program portfolio

  • Monitor the status of projects and programs, with the ability to understand their relationship and potential impacts to both operational and financial performance

  • Support corporate initiatives and projects and attend meetings with Northeast area senior management to track and follow-up on action items

  • Conduct research and analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations based on findings

  • Coordinate with Business Lines and corporate departments to collect and analyze data to prepare reports required by Northeast area senior management

  • Support Project Managers in managing company project management software systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, high-proficiency with Excel

  • Ability to work with different levels of both technical and administrative personnel

  • High comfort level with quantitative analysis, particularly under tight time constraints

  • Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers

  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a commitment to completing tasks with urgency and within established deadlines

  • 2 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working Knowledge of industry software such as Oracle- Primavera P6 software, Revit, etc.
