Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Licensing and Permitting Project Manager/Sr. Wetlands Scientist to work in the southern New England area. This position is largely an ‘in the field’ position with flexibility to maintain an office at your home in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island or eastern New York State.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Soils Science, Biology, Wetlands Science or Environmental Science required

  • 6+ years of relevant in field experience required

  • Experience leading state and federal wetlands jurisdictional determinations in southern New England - preferably MA and CT

  • Strong regulatory background, report writing and communication/computer skills required

  • Certified Soil Scientist Credentials with SSSSNE (Society of Soil Scientists of Southern New England) OR ARCPACS (American Registry of Certified Professionals in Agronomy, Crops, and Soils) required

  • Ability to support environment permitting efforts strongly encouraged and emphasis on prior work supporting power sector clients encouraged

  • Proven track record leading wetland delineation field teams in New England and working long hours in the field required

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Soils Science, Biology, Wetlands Science or Environmental Science preferred

  • Prior work experience on linear power projects encouraged

  • State and federal wetlands and land use regulatory permitting background preferred
