Job Summary

AECOM's Civil Construction Group in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior level Construction Estimator who's primary focus will be the pursuit and precon efforts of Water and Wastewater projects.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • This person will report directly to the Director of Estimating.

  • In this role, you will lead estimates and support large size project estimates performing means and methods, labor, equipment and material pricing along with key subcontractor and vendor solicitation and quote analysis.

  • The Senior Estimator will review drawings and specifications to identify necessary project requirements, along with identifying risk and risk mitigation measures on the project.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Leadership experience

  • Strong background in Excel as well as Construction Estimating Software

  • Water/Wastewater project experience

  • Must have established knowledge and expertise in various construction elements in the civil industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HCSS Software experience

  • Degree in Engineering with an emphasis in Civil, Construction Management, Drafting or related fields is preferred.

  • 8+ years experience in water/waste water construction/estimating

  • Background in hard bid and design build procurement
