Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to join our team to help develop solutions to some of the most critical challenges faced by the DoD.

This position will perform as a lead on more complex engineering assignments utilizing a Systems Engineering approach to establish a technical baseline to define system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities.

  • Experience providing acquisition and engineering documentation, requirements analysis, requirements generation, system design and test and evaluation (T&E) analysis.

  • Support NSWC Crane and Navy SSP in the systems engineering design efforts for the life cycle refresh of mechanical support equipment for the Ohio/Columbia class SSBN and Dreadnaught class UK SSBN and Hypersonic Program.

  • Engineering for T&E for boosters handling systems and logistics.

  • Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks.

  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.

  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.

  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science field and at least 7 years of job related experience or equivalent. Excellent communication skills; inter personal; organizational and analytical skills. Position may require travel. Must be a US citizen with the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Systems Engineering experience in requirements definitions and processes or test and evaluation of mechanical systems.
