The Aircraft Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 will monitor the safety procedures are followed for the Flight line and ensure flight schedule is executed as per the daily squadron’s flight schedule and to coordinate the following: daily schedule and unscheduled maintenance to comply with requirements of aircraft performing mission requirements. Aircraft Flight Line Coordinator shall be responsible for the flight schedule, daily operation of flight line, wash rack, hanger, and other areas on or off base that may require the need for Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1.
Besides flight responsibilities, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 could be tasked for following; Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as blades and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills, daily inspection, turnaround inspections, aircraft wash, aircraft servicing, assist pilot preflight inspection, assist pilot post flight inspection, aircraft fueling and defueling, assist pilot during Aircraft Functional Check Flight (FCF), towing/movement of aircraft on/off flight line or preservation hanger and other areas of the base. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Reads and interprets manufacturers' and maintenance manuals, OPNAV 4790, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components, daily turnaround, aircraft acceptance sheet, fuel and oil documentation. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 could be tasked for following: 150-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked turbine blades and oil leaks, inspects turbine engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 could be tasked for following: Inspects engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, to locate source of malfunction. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 could be tasked for following: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as generators, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or crane, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Job duties require Monitor the safety procedures are followed for the following: adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing gearbox, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, checking brakes and corrosion prevention of aircraft.
Coordinate and participate in the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of all work performed including safety of flight items and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts or assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. This is not an all-inclusive list, Flight Line Coordinator Mechanic 1 shall be responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance.
Housekeeping of all areas of work including shop; participate in FOD program.
Comply with all requirements of PWS that are not listed above.
Comply with all safety requirements.
Handling and disposing of Hazmat.
Understand fall protection laws and requirements for the work site and be familiar with all AECOM/US Navy instructions.
Obtain all support equipment licenses for job description.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

High School graduate or equivalent. Eight (8) years of experience is required, any aircraft platform civilian or military experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain PLANE CAPTAIN DESIGNATION and all additional Certifications/ Designation associated with Plane Captain Designation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain landing signalman enlisted (LSE) and complete training syllabus, Shall be determined by school availability and Site Manager.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Must have excellent computer, interpersonal, problem solving, and oral and written communication skills.
Must be customer service focused.
Must be able to work efficiently alone and as a team member.
Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment.
Must have working knowledge of MS Office programs to include; Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
Certification & License: Tow Tractor - A/S32A-45 MRTT, Power Cart - A/M32A-108 Shore MEPP, Power Cart - NC-10B1/C Shore MEPP.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
May be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) or Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
Must be able to pass Rapid Gate if required.
