Job Summary

AECOM currently has an opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Bridge Group in Boston, Massachusetts.(this role will have the ability to sit in Chelmsford, MA office as well) In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects.

Specifics of the role include:

  • Technical Leader in the Structural Department - provide technical leadership and monitoring of younger staff.

  • Lead structural engineer on complex bridge projects

  • Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges.

  • Assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.

  • Project engineering

  • Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules.

  • Preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and provisions of construction phase services.Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. As a team-player, you are professional in dealing with colleagues of all levels and disciplines. Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 plus years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with structural engineering focus
