AECOM’s Transportation practice is seeking a Project Manager for Transit projects in Edmonton, Alberta. Responsibilities for the position will include:
Managing transit projects, predominantly in the City of Edmonton, predominantly for LRT projects.
Preparing, monitoring and forecasting project budgets, costs, scopes, and project schedules.
Assembling and managing multi-disciplinary project teams (often using a disbursed engineering model).
Preparing, implementing, and monitoring scopes of work and project plans.
Arranging for, and managing sub-contractors.
Chairing frequent meetings (internal and client).
Project finances including earned value analysis, invoicing, and change orders.
Overseeing the ISO quality process.
Preparing proposals including preparing the WBS, level of effort estimate, and writing.
Education: Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Have at least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years on transit-rail projects.
Have been a project manager, or deputy project manager on transit projects with minimum assignment fees of greater than CAD$250,000.
Have a combination of P3 and/or Design-Build and/or Design-Bid-Build experience.
Have multi-disciplinary project experience (e.g. track, civil, systems, structural, architectural, environmental, electrical, streetscaping, etc.).
Have experience with design, procurement, and construction phases of projects.
The candidate must have a technical foundation in design, construction, or transit operations.
The candidate must have experience working on LRT projects (with a strong preference for candidates with Alberta LRT experience).
Ideally 10+ years of experience
PMP and/or P.Eng designation.
City of Edmonton LRT experience.
LRT renewal / state-of-good repair project experience.
Specific experience with LRT track, signals, and structures.
