Job Summary

AECOM is seeking Senior Budget Analysts to support the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC.

Job responsibilities may include the following:

  • Analyze acquisition financial information flows; designs and operates financial systems; performs special studies; and reports results to improve the overall operational and financial effectiveness for the program/project.

-Analyze and interpret financial data to determine cost benefits, performance, trends and for forecast financial probability.

-Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of spend plans

-Mentor and direct junior budget staff

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements you must possess:

-Ability to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) entry of duty (EOD) decision is required

-Possession of an active DoD Secret (up to TOP SECRET/SCI) clearance, which requires US citizenship

-BA/BS and 10 years of relevant experience or Master’s and 5 years of relevant experience

-Excellent communication and analytical skills
