Job Summary

AECOM is seeking to immediately interview and to hire cleared Russian Linguists. This is a part-time position 16 hours/maximum of 30 hours. The part-time work schedule will primarily be a standard 8-hour/day schedule 2-4 days a week. As needed linguists may be asked to work overtime, including weekends, and to travel for short term to domestic and foreign locations. Each qualifying candidate chosen will become a direct hire with AECOM. Linguist positions will be located in the Northern Virginia area and require near-native to native level Russian language skills. Linguists will be required to pass language testing with a minimum ILR score of 3/3/3. The program requires a linguist who is versed in current and contemporary foreign language, social and cultural expertise. An ideal candidate will have a background in media production or research in media trends and analysis. Core tasks involve the review of vernacular reporting and broadcast for translation and transcription into English, and at times translation in the reverse direction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

  • Must be fluent in near - native or native Russian.

  • Must have strong English language skills and ability to compose clear, concise English composition.

  • Must possess strong cultural knowledge.

  • Must demonstrate experience with internet research and using Microsoft Applications.
