Pashto Cleared Linguist - Military veterans preferred

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking to immediately interview and to hire cleared Pashto Linguists. Each qualifying candidate chosen will become a direct hire with AECOM and will be provided full benefits and opportunity for advancement. Linguist positions will be located in the Northern Virginia area and require near-native to native level Pashto language skills. Linguists will be required to pass language testing with a minimum ILR score of 3/3/3. The candidates will be required to translate and transcribe foreign-language text and audio into English. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to type in one of the required languages, and in real-time, via social media, text message, email, and other form, and therefore should be familiar with current Web-based communication technologies or have the ability to quickly learn and incorporate this expertise into their work. Preference will also be given to candidates whose skills allow them to engage in casual, informal written or verbal conversation with native speakers. Candidates who can also speak in their foreign language are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Must have a current and active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

• Must be fluent in near - Native or Native Pashto.

• Must have strong English language skills and ability to compose clear, concise English composition.

• Must possess strong cultural knowledge.

• Must demonstrate experience with internet research and using Microsoft Applications.
