AECOM has an immediate requirement for a CAD Technician to join our existing team in Glasgow.
The requirement is for a Draftsman/Technician with experience in contributing within an integrated multi-disciplinary team delivering services for the water industry on water and wastewater projects for the municipal and industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver a high standard of CAD design outputs to support the team to deliver the detailed designs of wastewater/portable water mains and networks for a challenging framework of projects.

The successful applicant will have sufficient experience to work with the minimum supervision on design of major civil engineering schemes in particular water industry and water and drainage infrastructure projects.
In addition to suitable project and sector experience, candidates should also be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, and have the ability to interface effectively with external stakeholders
Along with the above we are also looking to hear from candidates with the following;
Experience using the latest AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software packages.
Civil 3D skills to include pipeline design, earth works, road designs
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally.
Ability to work on own initiative as an experienced CAD operator, in conjunction with civil and structural design engineers.
Extensive experience of water based civil engineering projects.
Ability to produce accurate drawings and details for water related projects
An understanding of industry standards
