Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for Site Technician/

Highways Surveyor to join our Nottingham Pavement Management System team.

As a Site Technician/Highways Surveyor, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Undertake a range of visual condition surveys, both walked and driven, to UK Pavement Management System (UKPMS) accredited standards

  • Collecting survey data on either handheld devices or tablet computers

  • Undertake asset data collection surveys employing GPS enabled handheld data capture devices

  • The vast majority of surveys are undertaken on transient locations throughout the UK, requiring team members to travel extensively or work remotely

  • Due to continuing survey works, candidates will be required to lodge away throughout the UK for extended periods, which may require some weekend working

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of GCSE level Maths and English and grade C or above

  • Attention to detail

  • A willingness to learn

  • A flexible approach to working in different environments

  • Previous experience of UKPMS would be advantageous

  • Organisational and communication skills

  • Computer literate – basic Microsoft Office

  • Ability to read maps and plans

  • Ability to survey up to 8km per day (walked surveys)

  • Driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educated to A level or equivalent would be advantageous

  • UKPMS accreditation
