Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking Hull Technicians to provide watertight and airtight closure training, assessment and maintain equipment onboard the Navy's Pacific Fleet Aircraft Carriers (CVN's) during maintenance availabilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.Provide formal class room training to Ship’s Force.

2.Repair and maintain equipment consisting of the AFFF systems, all watertight and airtight closures, including quick-acting and individual dog watertight doors, hatches, scuttles, as well as armored hatches and scuttles, and flight deck AESS hatches.

Must be able to get underway and work with ship’s force for Technical Assistance during AFFF Flight Deck certifications for INSURV inspections after shipyard availabilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Eight (8) years’ experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion hull, mechanical, electrical or electronic systems is highly desired, including:- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or other mechanical technical data pertaining to the construction and operation of naval hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment.

  • Position requires an active Confidential Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Two (2) years’ experience in a position of team leader or supervisor of subordinate work groups.

  • An Associate Degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for up to two (2) year of technician experience.
