Job Summary

As a Senior Consultant you will be expected to work with an Associate or Project Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects and programmes.

The role would cover the whole lifecycle from initial inception and programme identification and definition, blueprint and business

case development, programme establishment and delivery, managing the tranches and benefits realization phase.

Job Duties:

Lead Programme Management Commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery

Provide oversight / strategic guidance /audit & review, to a portfolio of projects being lead within the cost centre

To provide effective support to PMs and APMs

Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time

Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team

Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross- selling opportunities, are identified and acted upon

Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (New and Existing)

Provide leadership within programme management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team

Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training

Manage the delivery of team outputs, in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards

Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by teams prior to issue

To ‘win’ clients through strong business development skills

Management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations

Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive Infrastructure, Urban regeneration, Commercial, Residential, Government, Health Education and Science experience

  • Complex, multi-disciplinary projects and programme experience essential

  • Proven track record for delivery

  • Client engagement at senior level

  • Experienced in a Client management role – Able to manage the account in terms of projects that are ‘live’, plus seeking new opportunities.

  • Experienced as a Line Manager in a comparative consultancy business;

  • Highly motivated with excellent industry network;

  • Possess the ability to work across service lines (inc. a track record of cross selling)

  • Commercial experience is essential along with a proven track record of winning and retaining new Clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering

  • Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution

  • Managing Successful Programmes preferred

  • Prince 2 or APM affiliation
