Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Civil CAD Drafter/Designer for employment in the Chelmsford, MA office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provides basic support in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis, earned value management, and construction inspection activities in support of projects.

• Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

• General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

• Performs routine tasks while working under close supervision.

• Entry-level position, previous experience may not be required.

Minimum Requirements

HS + None

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical two year degree a plus

• 1-2+ years of experience as a Civil Designer

• Excellent AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, including: site modeling automated profiling, cut/fill volume calculations

• Ability to work with a diverse team

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and technical, yet experienced enough to see the big picture

• Experienced, self-directed professional

• Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations

• Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines.

• Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
