AECOM is seeking an Engineer with 15+ years of experience applying Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to DoD and Air Force spectrum dependent technologies. The positions primary responsibilities will be to provide management oversight, leadership, training, quality control, and technical expertise in the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices to a team of Engineers.
Support requires knowledge of the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices either through the NTIA or the FCC. The candidate should have experience with DOD acquisition process, the review and certification of spectrum dependent devices, spectrum management, and technical leadership. The position requires understanding of a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, and SATCOM.
The work will require coordination and engagement with Air Force program offices, DON and DOD Chief Information Offices, and other federal agencies. Finally the work will require review and development of spectrum related policies and procedures applicable both nationally and internationally.
Possess an Engineering degree from an accredited university or college, and is preferred to have 15+ years’ experience with applying the principles of the performance of the Radio Frequency Engineering analysis. Good communication skills (both written and verbal). Requires Secret clearance;
Knowledge of either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process.
Knowledge of any of the following software: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone.
Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards.
World Radio Conference Support.
Development of Spectrum related standards and policies.
