Job Summary

The Anchorage, Alaska office is seeking an experienced, motivated, flexible, and resourceful individual to be responsible for providing expertise for wetland delineation and permitting projects. This individual will need to provide a wide range of technical responsibilities, including:

  • Interface with regulatory agencies, and other outside entities, partners and departments.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in vegetation and wetlands.

  • Prepare written material for inclusion in environmental documents.

  • Coordinate document revisions, including agency review comments, senior review comments, and author edits.

  • Train and develop junior staff.

  • Occasional field work may be required.

Required GIS and graphics skills include:

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS and CAD.

  • Graphical support, including design, planning, and completion of graphics and exhibits for project reports.

  • GIS analysis.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS in Biology, Ecology, Wetlands Science or related studies with 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Ability to perform field work and travel without restriction.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience conducting impact assessments and working with USACE Section 10 and 404 permitting.
