Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineering supporting the Georgia Port Authority, one of the largest fastest growing ports. The position will be involved in many different civil engineering projects to include terminals, RoRo, waterfront structures, site, utilities and roadways, and other port/marine related engineering projects. This is an opportunity to be involved with multiple port/marine projects. This position will be located at the Savannah, Georgia AECOM office.

Job requirements:

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS Civil Engineering plus equivalent plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated the equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Experienced with civil engineering site infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer or the ability to get PE license in Georgia within 6 months

  • 10 plus years of engineering design experience with 3 to 5 years of project management experience

  • Experience working with Ports & Marine infrastructure, container terminals, Roll-on-Roll-off terminals and general cargo handling facilities
