Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced

Waste Information Tracking System IDC Programmer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with project participants to develop software requirements, translate those requirements into design documentation, and implement the design in code using Visual Basic.NET to produce finished software. The candidate is also expected to perform software maintenance and updates, write and execute Software Test Plans, and perform Software Quality Assurance actions during the Software Development Life Cycle. The candidate will interact with users providing application support and processing data change requests, as well as evaluating requests for changes to the software. This position also requires the ability to administer Microsoft SQL Server databases, including database creation, tuning, indexing and job scheduling.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with six (6) years of related experience is required.

  • Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft ASP .NET development using Web Forms with Visual Basic .NET.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Infrastructure.

  • Broad knowledge of SQL, including query and table optimization.

  • Firm understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance in an NQA-1 environment is desired.

  • Previous WIPP experience is preferred.
