Purpose: Performs as a parts or equipment expediter at the designated APS-2 site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.
Compiles and maintains site’s shipping history and accounts for all incoming/outgoing equipment.
Examines received equipment, verifies serial numbers, and checks for discrepancies, such as transportation damage.
Inputs shipping information into Movement and Funding Automated Support Toll (MFAST) to generate movement requests and monitors the system to change the statuses as required.
Generates all accompanying paperwork
Compiles and maintains sites shipping history and accounts for all incoming/outgoing equipment.
Generates all accompanying shipment paperwork i.e. Transportation Control and Movement Documents (TCNDs), DD Form 2890s (Multimodal Dangerous Goods Declaration) and ensures DD Form 1750s (Packing List) are filled out and attached to the equipment if required.
Generates Export Traffic Release Transportation Requests (ETRRs) for all ship bound transportation.
Complies with international and European shipping and movement regulations and laws.
Confers with department manager to determine changes in transportation missions and to inform supervisors of transportation status changes.
Accounts for all internal vehicle and container movements by keeping an internal Transportation Movement Request (TMR) record.
Hands the internal TMRs to the lead so they can plan the work load for the section.
Signs in/out commercial trucks.
Liaises with the commercial and military drivers that arrive on site to pick up equipment.
Liaises with different Brigade Movement Control Team (BMCT), MCT’s to work around any movement queries or problems.
Use the correct hand signals to guide vehicles and equipment around the worksite.
Confirm weights and measurements of vehicles and equipment.
Collect 302 Customs Form from BMCT and hand to the drivers or collect the 309’s from the drivers delivering equipment and hand into BMCT.
Be able to deploy with the ECHA to other work sites.
Monitors fuel usage and pre-orders fuel when working limit is reached.
Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training can be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements.
Reports and receives direction via radio or cellular phone.
Assists in loading and unloading of material transported.
Burns Radio Frequency Identification Data tags.
Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.
Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
The 2 years of related work experience. Prior military supply or parts expediter experience is a plus. Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Considered an expert in the following Logistics Information Systems (LIS): Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
Current certifications on AWRDS and LMP.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
Must be able to meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card).
Specialized knowledge and skills
1 year of experience using MFAST or a similar military transportation system
2 years of experience using the LIW or a similar military parts tracking system.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
