Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of related experience
WA PE or eligible within 6 months
Commitment to excellence and high quality of work
Excellent report writing, client communication, and proposal skills
Experience with client interaction, ensuring schedule delivery
Experience in the use of MicroStation, InRoads, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, and StormShed design software
Experience in the preparation and management of CPM Schedules and Earned Value Reporting
Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic to put in hours as required and be flexible to get things done with minimal supervision providing proactive reporting on progress and status
Understanding and commitment to safety and health program management
Strong organizational skills, experience of working in the consulting industry, and effective communication skills
Valid driver’s license
2+ years Design-Build experience
Experience delivering WSDOT design projects
Experience in the use of MGS Flood software
Experience in the use of Autocad & Civil 3D
Experience in design of Storm Water Management facilities
Experience working with State DOT’s, Transit Agencies, and Municipal clients
