Business Operations Specialist

Assists in implementation of programs and processes to meet business goals. Uses attention to detail to accurately document costs and commitments. Works with the Market Manager to insure the timely communication flow to and from customers across the global metrology platform. Follows established standard work instructions ensuring quality throughout the processes. Adheres to the outsource vendor plan and the requirements of the Authorized Supplier List (ASL).

Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.

  • Coordinates and conducts pick-up and delivery of measuring equipment with customers, employees, and management.
  • Prepares equipment for shipping, ensures all required paperwork is included and billing the appropriate accounts.
  • Troubleshoots problem areas in logistics and coordinates problem resolution or recommends solutions to management.

Responsible for all aspects of the procurement process

  • Ensures accurate and timely payment of invoices.
  • Identifies the specific payment process required for purchase.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the purchase order process: quoting, purchase request generation, and invoice processing.
  • Meets with leadership to gain approval.

Supports the coordination of goods and services within the organization as well as externally to fulfill commitments

  • Manages, coordinates, and communicates workflow and technical and business requirements regarding asset delivery.

Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance

  • Supports the Market Manager by performing monthly reviews and analysis of historical labor and non-labor.
  • Makes recommendations based on results.
  • Initiates and tracks completion of related actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Typically requires an undergraduate degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
