Position Title: Associate Project Controls Specialist

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments as an entry level professional in project controls on an EPC project in the Gulf Coast Region
  • Records actual and committed cost and work hours, supports development of project variances, trending and analysis of commitments and expenditures and participates in development of the project forecast and cash flow
  • Assists with the administration of the change control process
  • Supports the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling
  • Supports coordination with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply
  • Supports identification of priorities for projects to guarantee completion
  • Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by supporting performance of schedule analysis.



  • Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Diligence, self-motivation and good people skills
  • Ability to engage with others to facilitate meeting expectations
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs with competency with Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the above):
  • Undergraduate degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent EPC, FEED or Construction project work experience in lieu of degree
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using COBRA or other planning/scheduling programs
