Senior Contracts Administrator (Federal)
The successful candidate will act as both a formal and informal mentor to junior contracts administrators on contracts from key Federal Agencies and internal project groups as well as providing focused knowledge. Must display a Team Player attitude.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Contracts Administrator include but are not limited to; Due diligence in support of projects with Clients/JV's/Teaming arrangements, Contract Risk Analysis, contract task order proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contracts policy compliance, project audits, project property management and any other business-related support required by the program/project management team. As well as serving as the primary project interface with the client's contracting official. Must ensure adherence to the firm's signature authority policy, Coordinate with Corporate Audit Group and support periodic internal project audits, outside project audits by clients, and federal agency audits. The Senior Contracts Administrator must possess the ability to manage and support multiple contract types and task orders concurrently and respond to project/client directives and requests involving financial information, contract compliance, cost proposals, project audit, project accounting, insurance, bonds, property and other administrative issues. Review and approve the application of accurate contract rate data in the preparation of proposal and contract information. In conjunction with the Project Manager develop the negotiation strategy and conduct contract negotiations with the client. On Federal projects will participate in technical proposal preparation in compliance with the RFP requirements and other firm policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Undergraduate / Associates degree with 10+ Years contract administration experience. Must also have experience in maintaining databases and working with spreadsheets. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Excellent working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and all supplements as well as the Uniform Commercial Code
The ideal candidate must have solid understanding of risk management, assessment, and planning as well as possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills. This position requires knowledge of federal contracting, bidding, source selection, and procurement regulations and laws; experience with audit standards and federal cost principles; outstanding communication and negotiation skills; and business management skills.
