The selected candidate will be focused on maturing the technical competency of Largo Material Validation. They will be actively involved in the day to day function of receiving inspection and test of incoming material received at the Largo manufacturing site. Will be responsible for resolving technical issues found by receiving inspection for supplier received material. The selected candidate will act as a centralized technical interface between Material Validation and Suppliers. They will work directly with suppliers to manage their Corrective Action Plans and validate effectiveness for material issues identified at receiving inspection. They will also interface with the Program for all technical issues identified on supplier received material (Drawing Interpretation, Inspection Requirements, Defect identification). Will provide validation and disposition of actual defects for both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN). They must be able to lead robust investigation of internal receiving inspection escapes to prevent future occurrences. The selected candidate will be responsible for the achievement of department and business unit goals and objectives. Manages data integrity and develops/analyze weekly/monthly reports to ensure goals are met. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, and evaluating incoming material to ensure compliant material is delivered to the factory.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Skills:

  • 2 years minimum direct experience in quality/engineering disciplines
  • Experienced interpersonal skills that support broad influence and interaction with suppliers, engineering personnel and managers
  • Experience producing effective presentations of project plans, status, issues, and actions
  • Effectively utilizes standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project)
  • Ability to obtain DoD clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of reviewing and approving First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102
  • Experience in Assembly Operations
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of SAP/PRISM
  • Knowledge of GD & T
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Quality related field.
