Job Description:
A process engineering role with focus on mechanical engineering solutions for Raytheon Vision Systems, a semiconductor manufacturer that provides leading edge sensing technology. Responsibilities include tooling used in fabrication of semiconductor materials. Tooling may be used to handle fragile, high value crystalline materials. Redesign current fixtures and tooling for ease of handling and use in controlled environment. Fabricate prototypes using 3D printing for various dimensions. Engineer will further assume responsibility for production equipment specifically Double-Sided-Polishing machine designed to generate crystalline wafer materials with tight dimensional control. In this role the candidate will determine process capabilities and manufacturing capacities.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work in a class 7 (1000) clean room environment.
  • Able to understand and learn critical parameters involved in fabrication of crystalline materials.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design, proficiency with common software to generate mechanical drawings, basic understanding of materials used in fabrication of tooling, good computer, database, basic programming and analytical skills, prior laboratory experience, good computer, database, basic programming and analytical skills. The applicant will work in a team based environment across the process engineering team, finance representatives and the computer support team.

Desired Skills:
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Experience with chemical handling, understanding of polishing crystalline materials, understanding of configuration and variables of manufacturing equipment, ability to handle small, fragile samples, basic programing experience using Matlab.

Required Education (including major):
  • Must have a BS / BA with a major in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or other related field by Summer 2019 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
