University Programs: Software Engineering Intern - (2020 College Sophomore, Junior, Senior Level)

IIS in Marlborough, MA, is seeking Software Engineering Interns with the technical and communication skills needed to support ongoing and emerging Air Traffic System (ATS) programs consisting of Air Traffic Control Automation Systems and Next Generation (NexGen) weather data processing systems.
As a Software Engineering Intern, the candidate will support engineering activities including software requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and test, and support to system selloff. Additional duties may include support to software documentation, defect resolution, customer presentations, and process and tooling improvements. Candidates must be professional, a self-starter and possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidate has a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and be willing to engage the staff within an Agile collaborative development framework such as Scrum or Scrumban.
Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM technical degree in the area of Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics. A cumulative GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired.Please include your transcript with your resume.
This position can be Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position for a summer of 2020 internship.
· ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) – must have completed 30 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Summer 2020.
· ST03 (TechStudent–Junior) – must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Summer 2020.
· ST04 (TechStudent-Senior) – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Summer 2020.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
