In partnership with Raytheon International Inc. (RII), and Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), the Poland BD Lead, residing in Poland, will serve as a key interface in developing relationships with Raytheon's customers, both industry and government, and be responsible for delivering on the company’s growth goals in Poland. In addition this position will focus on Government Relations responsibilities associated with representing the company’s position on legislative, policy, regulatory, and program matters to elected and non-elected in country officials and their staffs. As part of the Integrated Country Team (ICT) the individual will report directly to the Poland Country Leader and matrixed to the IDS VP Raytheon Polska.
Engage key organizations, individuals and processes in the Polish Government and help shape government policies and decisions that are favorable to the Raytheon enterprise and advance our objectives.
Serve as a key interface for Raytheon’s MOD/Industry customers and internally to the business development executives and enterprise product lines.
Help identify and lead development of new business opportunities leveraging the IPDS process.
Support key Raytheon enterprise pursuits/capture efforts though program start-up and hand-off; insure independent customer feedback received throughout program life.
Align pursuits in close coordination with Poland Country leader and IDS VP Raytheon Polska to ensure execution of IDS country strategy elements; identify improvement and gaps in country strategies to insure that they reflect current market conditions.
Leverage the Country Leader and Raytheon Polska executive to support any collaboration efforts required across the Raytheon enterprise.
Develop and sustain extensive customer relationship, recognize and shape requirements, develop opportunities, identify emerging needs
Develop and maintain customer contact and engagement plans and coordinate the ONE Raytheon approach leveraging the Poland Country Leader
Provide situational awareness on current pursuits to ensure alignment on key messaging and maximize growth
Collect, analyze, disseminate and implement competitive intelligence in a timely and consistent manner
Leverage Reps and Consultants, trading partners and other key industry & government stakeholders to build relationships and foster opportunity generation as appropriate;
Act as independent channel, in coordination with capture teams, to get customer feedback and insight regarding program execution
Participate as an integral part of the ICT by providing customer and market insights to develop win strategies across the enterprise
Seek out partnerships with Polish industry for potential export opportunities and to enhance Raytheon solutions
Help evaluate and direct Polish reps and consultants to ensure proper coordination and provide feedback on their performance to the Country Leader and VP Raytheon Polska
Fluent in business/conversational Polish language
12+ years of professional program, engineering or business development experience working with Polish customers and industry
Proven track record of results focused execution
Knowledgeable experience effectively communicating with international customers at multiple levels with specific emphasis on Polish Industry, Ministry of National Defense and Sejm
Basic working knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) including basic knowledge of US Export/Import policies, regulations and processes
Strong familiarity and working relationships with Polish Companies
Strong internal communications skills
Language Skills (written and oral)
Working knowledge of Polish budgeting process and related procurement cycles
General working knowledge of the Raytheon portfolio of products and services
Required Education: Bachelor of Science Degree Desired Education: Master’s Degree
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
