Systems Design team has a single opening for a CF52 Sr Tech Support Engineer II. The principal need is to provide multidiscipline interaction for closeout of development activities, support of product integration, transition to production, and early production activities. Responsibilities include working with limited direction toward the resolution of technically related issues associated with verification and validation of product requirements in an Agile program environment.
Address internal and external constraints associated with asset movement to identify workspace flow improvements, maintain program schedule, and reduce down-time
Collaborate to develop, present, and realize complex solutions for non-standard applications
Analyze system requirements to develop and maintain evaluation and operational assets for the purpose of meeting evolving program needs and delivery schedules
Facilitate failure analysis, corrective action, and change management for hardware and software configurations, expedite test and operational environment improvements, and assist with troubleshooting activities
Interface with multidiscipline teammates and external entities to facilitate integration and test, verification and validation process deployment for complex weapons systems
Perform high to low and low to high data transfers in support of delivering classified information to customer entities
Enable program teams to operative fluidly by identifying work transition barriers and coordinating handoffs at boundary points
Six (6) years of prior relevant experience such as technical support and oversite of team interactions and collaboration within programs
Hands on experience with Scaled Agile Framework
Knowledge of Assured File Transfer (AFT) methods or equivalent
Hands on experience with hardware and software in-the loop evaluation equipment
Ability to work with DOORS, Rational Team Concert, and Matlab
The position requires an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance
Required Education & Experience:
A University Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience such as program integration, production or other requirement verification/validation, etc.
A capacity to improve program and departmental results by driving successful collaboration and removing roadblocks for engineer teams is required. The TSE partners with other stakeholders to help ensure productive interactions between teams. The role requires limited supervision while taking responsibility for progress of projects. Lack of performance in facilitating cross-group collaboration can impact the department through missed deadlines and increased project costs.
Influential drive to achieve functional cooperation within the program and customer community to achieve a homogeneous focus on operational objectives is essential. This can effect behaviors, methodologies, and command media changes across the program, business and externally. Solid negotiation skills are required to rally parties toward mutually beneficial solutions.
Aptitude to analyze forward, contingent, and amended workflows to identify velocity restrictions and blockages is vital. The TSE will use analysis results to anticipate the inception of multifaceted challenges. Comprehensive solutions will be evaluated via trade study methodologies and presented to potentially affected parties as necessary to preclude difficult problems.
A comprehensive level of product knowledge and program operational details is required. These details include management of multi-lab integration activities using jointly shared resources (people, space, and capitol equipment), as well as having a wide-ranging understanding of missile component functionality with interactions occurring between those components. The TSE will progressively develop expertise as a systems thinker, advancing system-of-systems concepts within the SE discipline.
Prior experience with weapon systems development / integration or relevant Bachelor’s degree is required
U.S. Citizenship status and Top Secret Security Clearance (interim is acceptable) is ideal as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
