Knowledge of processes and assembly tooling techniques for aerospace application. Must have proven leadership skills and able to lead a multifunctional team of 3 – 10 individuals from program start up to program closure. Ability to multiplex in managing tasks and budgets, resolving hardware problems and initiating corrective actions. Must have knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) and manufacturing systems (MRP, hardware tracking, SPC). Must have the ability to develop and manage schedules for non-recurring engineering activities along with defining and managing budget and resource requirements utilizing EVMS. Requires strong communication skills to work with Management, Program Office and Customers.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience with a Bachelor's degree required.
  • Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required.
  • Perform operator training, as required.
  • Perform and support First Article Inspections assuring hardware meets all quality requirements flowed down from the programs.
  • Conduct area self-audits to assure compliance.
  • Create and update work instructions for use by manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in the design of fixtures and tooling.
  • Engage with factory area to address systemic issues to root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in semiconductor/wafer fabrication manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Six Sigma process improvement methods.
