Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator

to join our Transit & Rail Team in the Canada Mississauga, ON office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides project coordination and control on behalf of railway clients to ensure compliance with Railway Standards for infrastructure projects proposed by outside companies and government agencies on or near railway property

  • Act as liaison between Third Party Applicants and Railway Clients (passenger and freight)

  • Review documents (e.g. drawings, reports, shop drawings, etc.) for compliance with applicable Railway Standards

  • Compose technical specifications and bid documents

  • Set up new projects and prepare schedules

  • Monitor project costs and progress of the work

  • Track monthly billing

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports

  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings

  • Track submittals and document control

  • Support Project Managers with other routine and non-routine tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

  • Eligible to enroll as an EIT with PEO

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic

  • Excellent written communication

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet strict deadlines

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the delivery of rail and transit projects

  • Project coordination experience

  • Construction site experience

  • Project management experience would be an asset
