Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced bridge engineer located in Tampa, Florida. AECOM’s Tampa office is responsible for a wide variety of bridge and transportation-related structures’ ranging from conventional overpasses, complex interchanges and signature structures including segmental, extradosed and cable-stay bridges. Candidate should have excellent engineering and communication skills, and a desire to contribute to our bridge design team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and checking design calculations for bridges and other transportation-related structures

  • Computer modeling of complex structures

  • Plans review and checking

  • Preparation of reports and specifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus

  • 6+ years of related bridge design experience

  • Proficient with MicroStation, Microsoft Office Software, Mathcad and other general software

  • Familiarity with Bentley’s LEAP Bridge Concrete software and BSI’s FB-Multi-Pier

  • Detail-oriented and have strong skills in structural analysis, steel, and concrete design; and the ability to work in a team environment

  • Must possess excellent analytical, technical skills and communication (oral and written) skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus

  • Experience with structural analysis software packages including Midas and Bentley’s RM Bridge

  • Experience on Florida DOT projects

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
