Job Summary

The AECOM Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Group is looking for an Environmental Technician to be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA Office.

In addition to the primary duties, this position will also be expected to perform other duties such as the installation of soil erosion controls, demolition activities, handling of pumps & hoses, operation of gas chain saws, and operation of small equipment such as jackhammers, compactors, Skidsteers, etc. All workers must understand and follow project-specific safety protocols in accordance with company policies & procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • A high school education and valid driver’s license is required.

  • This is an entry-level position with no previous work experience.

  • The selected individual must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be able to work in protective clothing, including a respirator.

  • Assignments may include work on out-of-town projects that may require the individual to travel for extended periods (up to 3 weeks) to a project site.

  • All workers must understand and follow project-specific safety protocols in accordance with company policies & procedures.

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Additional Note:

  • No Relocation support is offered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 40-Hour Training is required but not mandatory. The company will provide training if necessary.

  • 1 year of experience in the construction field, preferably on environmental sites.
