Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for an IT Technical Project Manager (SCRUM) to assist the Cyber Development Team within the Cyber Threat Operations group with developing solutions specifically targeted for dealing with today's most sophisticated cyber-attacks.

Responsible for owning all facets of the agile process from a project, product and program standpoint. The successful candidate will interface with customers, stakeholders, developers and act at the Scrum Master and Product Owner for multiple simultaneously active projects within Cyber Development.

Candidates should be very comfortable holding technical conversations with engineers and translating customer requests into actionable, well defined user stories. The Technical Program Manager is expected to be an expert with the developed software packages leveraging that expertise to assist with quality assurance activities prior to release.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with customers and stakeholders, turn wants and needs into actionable user stories that meet functional and business requirements
  • Plan and execute sprints
  • Execute retrospectives
  • Coach agile teams to be self-organizing
  • Develop plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs and communicate plans and status to management and other development team members
  • Participate in design discussions with developers to understand estimates
  • Participate in quality engineering activities

Required skills:
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience owning agile process in a SCRUM environment
  • In-depth experience as a Scrum Master
  • In-depth experience as a Product Owner
  • Effective at leading sprints, stand-ups and removing impediments
  • Hands-on experience with software packages; not reluctant to be a subject matter expert
  • Experience testing internally developed enterprise software products
  • Proven track record of working independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Experience with agile project software (VersionOne, Jira)
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Desired skills:
  • Prior software engineering experience
  • Prior software quality engineering experience
  • Background in cybersecurity

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
