The Floor Champion role is to support the Local Safety Officer & Facilities Manager. You will ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, and help to provide a safe and professional working environment for employees, clients, visitors. Support agile working on floor.
You will ensure that all activity concerning mail, print and stationery are managed to support the core business. Support our agile working policy and all aspects of the office floor which you are allocated is in a state or readiness, i.e. all desks and collaborative space is able to be used.
Implementing daily H&S assessment of allocated floor, reporting any hazards to the site LSO and/or FM Helpdesk, and reporting any incidents or near miss onto IndustrySafe.
Support AECOM agile working approach at every opportunity.
Working alongside the FC team to reinforce behaviours that maintain agile working such as, supporting mobility across the building, availability of spaces, and observation of room bookings. Other examples include making sure desks, meeting rooms/spaces and project areas are being used in accordance with our policies.
Assist with meeting room equipment and AV set up.
Delivering DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessments when required
Responsible for the collation, sorting, distribution and despatch of all incoming & outgoing parcels and mail
Operating and maintaining the franking and mailing machinery
Booking of external couriers
Ensuring printers/plotters are available to be used at all times and stock is managed accordingly.
Print areas are to be kept clean and safe, stock is regularly replenished, and debris/unwanted items are removed
Keeping the desk top stationery trays stocked and replenished on a regular basis.
Maintaining an efficient ordering system for consumables and office supplies;
This will include; stationery, paper, tea, PPE, First Aid Equipment.
Maintenance of coffee machines, including a daily clean, and ensuring stock is ordered and readily available.
Supporting the Admin team H&S first day inductions for new starters on a Monday (if required)
Running an efficient locker system, and maintain locker & key database, including a yearly review of floor lockers.
PPE upkeep, ensure stock levels are kept at required level and all items are accounted for.
Arranging Swap & Distribution of Mobile Phones.
Supporting Floor Champion role in the Croydon office.
Ensuring Thursday Fruit delivery is distributed evenly across the 5 AECOM floors.
Office tidy on 2nd Thursday of the month (floor specific).
Partake in special projects, i.e. Internal office moves, project related.
Fire Marshall Support to the LSO.
Ordering stock and maintaining first aid boxes.
Meet and greet new starters and visitors on the floor.
Working with and monitoring the Mitie day cleaners.
Ordering through Advantage, i.e. PPE, DSE Equipment, Stationery & IT equipment.
Attend FC team meetings, and project team meetings if required.
Support Admin if/when required.
Provide a basement H&S tour to cyclists.
Assist with printing and binding if required.
Knowledge of H&S risk awareness and hazard reporting
Very good verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to use initiative and manage changing priorities as they arise
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
Good customer service ethic
