Reports to a Training Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for the implementation of approved technical training materials, to qualify operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control, and/or other technical personnel to ensure staff have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their tasks. The technical training is provided to qualify personnel for positions in plant operations, including commissioning technicians, shift technical advisors, and operations supervisors. The training instruction is performed in accordance with Project policies and procedures, and implements the requirements of DOE Order 426.2 for a nuclear training program.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC
Conduct technical training (e.g. classroom and/or on-the-job training), including instruction, exam administration and training effectiveness evaluations:
Implement training program to qualify operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control, and/or other technical personnel to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform work safely with competencies commensurate with their responsibilities.
Support development of technical training material and interface with subject-matter-experts in the Line Organization(s).
Coordinate and communicate between the training organization and other line management or support organizations to ensure training needs are identified and met through effective training.
Perform observations and assessments to ensure activities are implemented safely and effectively in accordance with approved procedures.
Support a strong Nuclear Safety Quality Culture (NSQC) by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work, in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual
Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
AECOM has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC, known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) to construct, start-up and commission the world’s largest radioactive-waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in southeastern Washington state. The project will use vitrification technology to process and stabilize 53 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste currently stored at the Hanford Site which is a byproduct of plutonium-production during World War II and the Cold War era.
The project is the largest undertaking of its kind ever and one of DOE’s most technically challenging cleanup projects—equivalent to building two nuclear power plants. Its construction site spans 65 acres and includes facilities for pretreatment, low-activity waste vitrification, and high-level waste vitrification, as well as an analytical laboratory.

Preferred candidates will have:
At least 6 years technical experience in operations, maintenance, or related technical position in Naval Nuclear, Department of Energy Nuclear, or Commercial Nuclear Operations.
Experience in technical instruction.
Experience in technical training material development.
Proficiency using VISION for training processes.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
