Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Supervises the warehouse activities ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures regarding acceptance, storage, maintenance, inventory, and release of both general order merchandise and seized property. Supervise, coordinate, assign duties, provide leadership and review the work of staff and/or contracts for exactness, and neatness in conformance to policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Supervises the warehouse staff including ensuring staff is adequately trained; coordinating workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work; and monitoring and evaluating staff performance.

2) Timely completion of Inventories IAW, DDC, SOP's and procedures.

3) Knowledge of DSS, MIS, and other storage and inventory control documentation requirements.

4) Training of employees to applicable DLA SOPs.

5) Performs weekly walk around with management and government customers.

6) Ensures organization and housekeeping of areas are maintained.

7) Work to develop innovative and performance enhancing operational processes.

8) Oversees and recommends maintenance and repairs to facility.

9) Supervises scheduling maintenance and repairing company vehicles and equipment in accordance with procedures and requirements.

10) Supervises warehouse operations including acceptance, storage, maintenance, inventory, and release of all merchandise and property within the facility.

11) Oversees the break down for public viewing and auction of merchandise and property for sale.

12) Ensures proper storage of General Order merchandise and seized property stored at the Sales Center.

13) Implements and monitors daily and month-end reporting of facility security, fire prevention, and space utilization.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Logistic is preferred, but at a minimum, must possess 5-8 years private sector or military experience directly related to performance of operations or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

  • The position also requires the ability to pass and maintain Radiation Protection Officer training, Haz-Mat Certification Training, and other trainings as necessary to access and handle sensitive and controlled materials and their storage areas.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation. Must be able to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • AMMO -62 certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Security clearance preferred. An AMMO 62 certification preferred.
