Job Description:

Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) is seeking a Logistics Specialist II to support the F-18 ALR-67(V)3 program, based out of Jacksonville, FL. The Logistics Specialist II will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of Manufacturing Program Manager (MPM) functions for both operations and engineering materials. This individual will be responsible for supporting the MPM for the ALR-67(V)3 Performance Based Logistics (PBL) program.

The day to day responsibilities listed below are necessary in order to meet program costs and schedule requirements:

  • Support the ALR-67(V)3 PBL MPM in expediting material ordering and delivery
  • Request For Quote (RFQ) generation, Quote/Proposal Analysis, Negotiations, Documentation write-up, Purchase Order (PO) generation, Sales and expediting/follow-up
  • Work closely with Program MPM to obtain the right product/service at the right price at the right time
  • Participate in projects (both Supply Chain and Program) to drive material efficiencies and increase material affordability
  • Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers, follow-up to assure understanding
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal internal customers
  • Ability to build relationships with suppliers and effectively collaborate across the enterprise in a virtual environment.
  • Warehouse inventory management of ALR-67(V)3 material at AAR Jacksonville, FL
  • Build relationships with strategic suppliers through logistics initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage material meetings between all levels of the supply chain
  • This position will require up to 50% travel on short notice
Required Skills:
  • Experience in managing vendors and PO placement
  • Ability to travel to vendors sites with short notice
  • Become efficient and knowledgeable of MMIS, SAP PRISM, and other Raytheon procurement and inventory management tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills:
  • Be a self-motivated and have the ability to perform with limited supervision.
  • Understand Military (preferably Navy) customs and courtesies.
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and/or a combination of experience, education, and training may substitute for the degree (Bachelor Degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience).

Special Requirements:
  • 50% Domestic Travel will be Required
