The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The Operations Analysis and Simulation Department within SADID has a charter to conduct analyses and support programs across the IDS portfolio, including surface Navy, undersea Navy, missile defense sensors, interceptors, command and control, integrated air and missile defense systems and space surveillance systems. The work is classified and the candidate must have at least a DoD SECRET clearance.
Systems Engineer to serve as SCRUM Master for SADID organization at Schriever AFB, CO. The engineer will lead a team of systems engineers, software developers and test engineers on the development of a suite of radar models used for element- and system-level analysis and verification and validation. The SCRUM Master will be responsible for determining SCRUM capacity, managing the scrum team’s work in progress, near-term technical planning, determining task completion, communicating status, and coordinating with Product Owner and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead.. The engineer may participate in activities to include interfacing with stakeholders, development of systems engineering plans and processes, reviews of product deliverables, and interfacing with task/product leads in producing quality reports/products. The engineer will provide analysis and quick-turn support for various MDA events. The engineer will support integration of the sensor model with existing external simulation frameworks, and element models/systems. The engineer will provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable technical solutions to complex problems that are consistent with organization objectives. The engineer will create presentations that describe and demonstrate advanced algorithms as implemented in the sensor model for a variety of audiences.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- Experience working in an agile software development environment.
- Knowledge of system/software development life cycles and agile development practices.
- Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with System / Software Integration and Test activities.
- Ability to work at a government facility within a multi-contractor team environment.
- Ability to collect/present agile metrics
- Ability to configure, modify, and use plug-ins Agile Development Tools such as Jira/Gitlab
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Missile defense experience. Knowledge of MDA elements and fielding configurations.
- SCRUM Master certification
- Strong Scrum master knowledge demonstrated using Agile Development Tools such as Jira/Gitlab
- Tools experience: Linux/Unix, MS Office, JIRA, Gitlab, MySQL, DoDAF, Software architecture/design/coding experience, Radar Modeling/Analysis, knowledge of discrete event simulations
- Familiarity with MatLab, ClearQuest, ClearCase,, MySQL, and SharePoint, or related applications.
- C++ experience
- Java experience
- Experience with model-based systems engineering
- Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
- Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
- Knowledge of system architectures, networks, and operations.
Note: This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or Salary Grade G10 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
- BS/BA in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
