Material Management Specialist to fill a Field Engineer I position in Qatar.The Material Management Specialist (MMS) will perform duties related to the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory and issue of all material, consumables, expendables, tools and equipment and modification kits required for the Qatar Patriot SICO.

The MMS will provide day-to-day execution and oversight of all logistical support tasks for the Qatar Patriot SICO. SICO will consist of the application of applicable ECP and MWO to Patriot Configuration 3+. Other specific duties include establishing and maintaining stock records and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, and account and supply reports. The Material Management Specialist establishes and maintains automated and manual accounting records, posts receipts and turn-ins; reviews and verifies quantities received against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents; unloads, unpacks, visually inspects, counts, segregates, palletizes and stores incoming supplies and equipment; maintains a stock locator system and administers document control procedures; packs, crates, stencils, weighs and bands equipment and supplies for storage or shipment; assembles bins, shelving and other storage aids; and operates material handling equipment (MHE).

The Material Management Specialist will aid in scheduling and conducting inventories of all equipment, kits, and supplies and coordinating with the SICO Team Lead and Qatar officials for the conduct of joint inventories of removed hardware. The MMS will also perform initial setup and facilitization of the in-country work location.

Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Perform other duties and activities as directed.

This Material Management Specialist will report to the SICO Team Lead.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Management or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience
  • A graduate of the Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or similar course of instruction or comparable experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience with duties involving request, receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and accountability
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software suite to include set up of job plans, tool storage, consumable & repair part storage, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot SICO process
  • Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support
  • Demonstrated experience with environmental program compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs
  • Experience living and working in an overseas location
  • Raytheon Six Sigma Certified

Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Management with 4 years related experience. May substitute experience for education, (i.e. Associate’s degree plus 6 years of related Logistic experience or no degree and 12 years of related Logistic experience.
