The Mission of the Product Technology Center is to develop best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customer. We are seeking current college students willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to design digital electronic circuits that implement missile guidance, video and digital signal processing. Our technology base includes high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.

The Mission Computers and Processors Department designs digital electronic circuit cards and electronic units, which are supported from proposal through transition to production. Our systems are subject to environments ranging from the frigid, sub-zero vacuum of space, to the blistering heat of the desert floor, to the high pressures of the ocean depths.


A candidate with interests, studies, research or experience with technical theories and concepts in digital design, with general knowledge of other related disciplines. All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects, but will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to “shadow” experienced Raytheon professionals in order to better learn about real industry positions.


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.


Required Education/Skills:

  • Junior, Senior or Post Graduate level standing pursuing a Bachelor of Science or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree per Raytheon guidelines.
  • Course work in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, digital electronics, lab course work, PCB design and signal integrity.
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Enthusiastic to learn and assist in a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
