Raytheon IDS IT Cyber Operations has an opening on our team for an IT Cyber Defense Technologist who can work with various functional departments to support ongoing installation and maintenance of software tools across all IDS business areas.
This role will allow you to collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. Your ability to serve customers and drive solutions will have direct impact on the success of the mission.

The responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Monitoring and managing our support ticket queue
  • Building and maintaining a knowledge base on our Sharepoint Resource Center
  • Ensuring our communication on the Sharepoint Resource Center is efficient and effective
  • Compiling our customer feedback and updating our documentation
  • Testing software solutions
Please note that this role can be located at any IDS Facility in Massachusetts or Rhode Island – with occasional travel required to domestic IDS locations as business needs dictate.

Please note that capped budget relocation is available to the selected applicant if they are eligible per company policy. Budget amount to be discussed at the appropriate stage of the hiring process.

This role will require an active US Dept of Defense Secret Security Clearance on Day One of employment. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US DOD Security Clearances.

Required Skills:
  • Experience managing a Help Desk Ticket system
  • Proficiency with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting security related software in both physical and virtual Windows and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with DoD hardening requirements for compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Possess an active US Dept. of Defense (DOD) Secret Security Clearance. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US Secret Security clearances.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to explain difficult concepts to a variety of skill levels

  • Security related industry certification (Security +)
Required Education (including Major):
  • Minimum 2-Year degree, or at least 5 years of work experience in related fields (at the hiring manager's discretion) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and possesses a US DOD Secret Security Clearance. 146933
